Player Code of Conduct

Parents, please discuss this important code of conduct with your child. It is important for young athletes to understand the responsibility of their significant role as a member of a team and organization.

I pledge to be responsible for my participation by following the Player Code of Conduct:

1. I agree to practice good sportsmanship at all times, to win without boasting, lose without excuse and never quit.
2. I agree to attend and participate in all scheduled games and practices. If I am unable to attend I will let my coach know as soon as possible.
3. I will never throw a bat or equipment in anger and I agree to be aware of safety and will follow team and league rules to ensure safe play.
4. I agree to my coach’s authority and will participate and communicate positively with my coach and teammates.
5. I agree to treat fellow players, opponents, fans and umpires with respect.
6. I agree to exercise self-control at all times, refraining from foul language and setting a positive example for others to follow.
7. I agree to support and encourage my teammates, and to always try my best to try and keep a positive attitude.
8. I agree to never use unnecessarily rough tactics in the play of a game against the body of an opposing player.
9. I agree to never use abusive or profane language.
10. I agree to never question and/or argue an umpire’s call and will never behave in a manner that would “show up” or disrespect any and all calls made by an umpire.
11. I will be responsible for my trash and will help by doing my part to keep the complex clean and litter free.
